The State Aircraft Factory for decades was one of the most important sectors of the Air Force. “Air-Born” members got the permission from HAF to visit in person the facilities, which made history as a vital part of the Hellenic Aviation. After a brief update of SAF’s history, we had the opportunity to visit the hangar, see from close up the preserved aircrafts of the Unit and also to explore the surroundings where there are still some decommissioned aircrafts of Hellenic Air Force.

We would like to thank the Colonel Mr. Gennimatas for the guidance and presentation of SAF, and we wish SAF’s reinstatement to further activity because it has still a lot to offer to the Hellenic Air Force.
