Members of our association, not being prevented by the very bad weather
conditions, had the chance to visit the 111 CW in Nea Anchialos, on Thursday May
24th.
During this visit, we were glad and honoured to meet in person the executives of
all the squadrons, who talked to us about the history of their squadron and
their work.
Our members watched several operations taking place in different parts of the
Wing and didn’t miss the chance to take photos and live with all their senses
some extraordinary moments.
What we took with us was the warm hosting of the HAF staff and their high
professionalism, which makes them an oasis in the general absence of
organization and disorientation around us.
The Aviation Enthusiasts Society “Air- Born” would like to thank the HAF Chief
of Staff Lt. General Antonios Tsantirakis, as well as the Colonel Michael
Skliros for approving our request, the Commander of 111 CW Colonel Konstantinos
Yiannaros, and also Colonels Mr. D.Nikolaides and Mr. Xatzigeorgiou and the
Major P.Koutiadis, for their kind hosting and for their time.
