The second Ramp Tour, or in other words, the organized presence of “Air- Born"
at the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” and keeping track of
its circulation is a fact. "Air- Born" visited for the second time the AIA's
apron on Monday, June 11th 2012, about one year since the first
visit, hoping that the AIA Ramp Tour becomes an annual institution, equal to the
Open Days and Ramp Tours of other airports traditionally known in this sense.
The excellent collaboration with the airport authorities and the absolute
observance of the security regulations by the “Air- Born” members were decisive
to the successful closing of this event also, depicting the high responsibility
feeling on their behalf, when being present in special spaces, such as an
airport ramp- and what is more when this is the biggest airport-entrance of the
country.
"Air- Born" members had the chance to take photos and almost "touch" the
aircrafts taxiing, landing and taking off, while happy surprises did not miss,
such as our tour to the Hellenic Imperial Airways Boeing 747.
The 2nd Ramp Tour on “Eleftherios Venizelos” Airport was a wonderful
one and, let us hope, not a unique one, as we are looking forward to the next
Ramp Tour, one year from now.
