On Friday, June 29th "Air- Born" had the opportunity to implement a
different and unprecedented for the Greek aviation standards (and not only)
activity. At 06.25 in the morning, 20 members of "Air- Born" embarked to the
Astra Airlines aircraft doing the borderland itinerary to Sitia, and returned
with the 18.20 flight. Both flights were gently offered by Astra Airlines, who
proved its actual support to aviation enthusiasts in Greece, providing "Air-
Born" members with the opportunity to this flight, and underlying the
collaboration perspectives among air companies and the friends of aviation.
In both flights, to and from Sitia, we had the chance to observe the
professionalism of all crews, the high service quality, and of course the whole
experience of flying from and to a peripheral airport. Since our boarding, the
crew, taking into consideration the…specialty of our members, did their best for
our flight to be an unforgettable one. The discussion with them showed us that
not only are they excellent professionals, but also that they love their job and
giving their best selves, a fact that is a wonderful “take-off” for the
company’s performance.
During our stay in Sitia, we had the opportunity to meet the airport
authorities, which were present since our arrival and offered us a comfortable
stay. We also watched the air circulation of the day, as well as the critical
functions of the airport.
